JOB TITLE: SOCIAL MEDIA/MARKETING ASSOCIATE
Job Summary: Assist staff with leasing vacant and future apartment units by maintaining an active face-to-face, telephone and online presence with potential and current customers.
Classification: Part-time, non-exempt, temporary
Reports to: Residential Manager or Assistant Residential Manager
Supervises: None.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Renting Activities:
- Focus on leasing vacant apartments by developing and maintaining active relationships with potential customers and existing customers; close leads from potential residents
- Build an active student community of potential and current residents online by constant interaction through social media tools, such as Facebook, Twitter, Instant Messaging, etc.
- Participate in promotional events on and off campus
- Perform the basic essential duties of a leasing agent: conduct tours of vacant and model units, close leads, follow-up with guests, prepare lease documents, etc.
- Administration and Record Keeping
- Assist in the day to day operations of the rental office including but not limited to: answering phones and emails; filing; completing weekly reports; special projects; assisting with resident events; general customer service
- Ensures leasing documentation for prospective and current residents is complete and accurate
- Maintain guest card files
- Other
- Assist in property marketing activities including Housing Day and Tandemonium
- Assist in organizing rent-up events
- Perform other duties as may be required
REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: High school diploma; some college coursework preferred
- Experience: 1 year work experience; property management experience a plus.
- Competencies:
- Must be skilled with online social media tools such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, text messaging, instant messaging, blogging, etc.
- Must be outgoing with good interpersonal skills and a customer service orientation
- Must have good sales and communication skills
- Must be organized and pay attention to detail
- Other Requirements
- Must have valid California driver’s license
- Must have current automobile insurance
- Must be able to work weekend and evening hours
