What makes Tandem unique?

Tandem was founded by a UC Davis alum and currently employs both current and former UCD students. No one gets Davis housing like we do.

How much experience does Tandem have in managing housing?

Our team has 50 years of experience offering quality housing to the Davis and Woodland communities. We helped create the Davis Model Lease and the City’s Renter Education Guide. Tandem has a solid reputation that you can trust.

Why is both owning and managing your properties so important?

Because we both own and manage our properties, our friendly teams are able to offer immediate response to your needs. Tandem is known for immediate maintenance available 24-hours for urgent concerns.

What do you mean when you say I give back to Davis when I choose Tandem?

At Tandem, we pride ourselves in being locally owned and oriented. Whether it’s through our yearly contribution to Davis schools through the Tandem Foundation, our 20-year sponsorship of Aggie Pack, our former Sam Paneno Scholarship, or our ongoing contributions to Fruit and Veggie Up and the Yolo Food Bank from our owner’s organic farm–choosing Tandem helps us continue to support both the Davis and UC Davis communities.

Are your communities for only students?

No. While our on-campus housing options do have special qualifying criteria set by UC Davis, our off-campus communities are available to all qualifying applicants. We are proudly an equal opportunity housing provider. Whatever your need, we’ll happily help to find you the right fit in our diverse portfolio of 14 properties.

What is the Individual Lease Program?

The individual lease program is a service meant to help connect renters looking for housemates. It’s great because you are on your own separate lease and legally only responsible for rent in your own room, but you still get the benefit of splitting the cost of shared utilities and living expenses. In our most popular and established Individual Lease Program at Adobe at Evergreen, rooms are set up as private master suites with each resident having a private bedroom, full bath, dressing area, mini-fridge, and microwave.

I’m just starting to look in Davis and everything seems full. Is this normal? What should I do?

Yes, the Davis market is unique. Because so many people are looking for housing around the UC Davis schedule, most leases are 12-months long and commence September 1st. Many people start looking for housing in January for the upcoming September. But, if you’re just starting to look, don’t stress.
