The 6th Annual Woodland Tomato Festival
On of our favorite things about summer is biting into a plump and juicy, sweet and tangy, fresh tomato. Here in the Central Valley, we enjoy a wild variety of fresh tomatoes, and this weekend the Woodland Farmers Market is celebrating the luscious tomato in all of its glory.

Celebrating the Yolo County tomato, the Woodland Tomato Festival on Saturday, August 10th from 9:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. is fun, free, and open to the public at Freeman Park in Downtown Woodland
Who has the best salsa in town? Come vote for the best restaurant salsa at the Woodland Tomato Festival! Audience participation invited! Special appearances by Tommy Tomato!
The tomato is inspiration for an “Iron Chef” style cooking competition between local chefs. With esteemed guest judges, participating chefs are challenged to come up with their most creative tomato cuisine.
Yolo County Master Gardeners offer classes on all things tomato. Tomato tosses, Tomato variety tasting, Tomato clothing – it’s a tomato explosion! Bounce houses, arts & crafts, fair food vendors and live entertainment make this a family friendly event.
