Quick Tip: Larger Apartments Are Cheaper Per Person

Now that finals are at an end and you’ve had the chance to to relax and get your spring tan on, don’t forget to grab your apartment near UC Davis for fall, before even more options are gone.
If a concern about cost has been your hold up, then this quick tip is for you.
Pairing up with friends can save you some serious cash–and we don’t just mean sharing bedrooms. While everyone seems to know that sharing rooms lowers rent, fewer renters seem aware that larger apartments do too. Three renters in a three bedroom, or four in a four bedroom often pay far less per bedroom than two renters in a two bedroom apartment do. You also get the perk of splitting utility bills as well.
So, as you’re resuming your search for an apartment for fall, don’t be afraid to add on a roommate or two to meet your budget. There are tons of resources available to help you do just that. Find the floor plan of your choice and then reach out to management for ideas about how to pair up with people wanting to share. Larger apartments are popular at Tandem and tend to fill up quickly, but a few select floor plans still remain for fall.
