Housing Crunch Pressures UC Davis Transfer Students
The good news is that UC Davis transfer students are being accepted in record numbers and deciding to attend. The bad news is that there isn’t enough dorm space to accommodate them all.
According to the UC Davis Student Housing Facebook page, “The 2013-14 transfer student class requesting to live in our Student Housing Apartments is larger than anticipated and we may be doubling some of the single rooms to accommodate every student that completed their housing application by the deadline. There will be single rooms available to students living in the Student Housing Apartments; however, we cannot guarantee that every student that asked for a single room will receive a single room. The deadline to cancel the housing application for the Student Housing Apartments and receive a full refund of the $500 reservation fee has been extended to July 15, 2013. In addition, Student Housing will provide a list of available apartments in the city of Davis if emailed at [email protected] to request the list.”
But wait, there’s more good news. There is still limited availability in off-campus housing. Tandem Properties has seen a spike in contract signings much earlier than usual. Contact Tandem as soon as possible. Many of our properties are already sold out for next year, and the rest are going fast.
