UC Davis Mobile: (Free at the iTunes store.)
UCD Mobile is the premier campus iPhone application for prospective students, parents, current students, faculty, staff, and alumni. Navigate around the campus, search campus buildings, parking, search courses, search faculty and students, read the newspaper, watch AggieTV, locate buses in real-time and much more!
DavisTrans (Free at the iTunes store)
DavisTrans describes itself as “your one-stop iPhone app for all Unitrans transit information including stop prediction times, real-time bus locations, and static schedule information.”
Davis Patch (Free at the iTunes store.)
Davis has a great newspaper called The Davis Enterprise (which you should bookmark) but if you want your Davis news up-to-the-minute in app form, check out the app from the local news site Davis Patch. You’ll get latest community news, weather, local business listings and events for your town with Patch for iPhone. The benefit of the Patch app is that (if you allow it to see your location) you can get 24/7 coverage of your neighborhood. You can participate right from your phone by uploading commentary, photos, etc. One cool feature allows you to save any event you find right into your iPhone’s calendar.
Sacramento Bee (Free at the iTunes store.)
The best part of this app (aside from local news, views etc.) is the local sports and entertainment coverage.
