Career Tips and Job Openings from a Tandem Manager!

Trying to find the right job after graduation can be tough. For those of you still searching, we took a moment to chat with one of Tandem’s managers about her job hunt and what lead her to her career with Tandem.

Kaylin is a five-year veteran manager with Tandem and has also had a big role in helping out with our Aggie Pack promotional events. Tandem: Hi Kaylin, thanks for taking a moment to chat with us. Tell us a bit about you. How long have you worked for Tandem and what do you enjoy about being a property manager in Davis?

Kaylin: I have worked for Tandem for five years now, and even writing this it’s hard to believe it has already been so long. I enjoy being a property manger because not one day is the same as the next, and there is always a new challenge, problem to solve, and resident make happy!

T: If you could offer your fellow Aggie Alumi a piece of advice about applying for a new job, what would it be?

K: Professional advice for Aggie Alumni is tough, but perhaps what I will share this– apply for jobs that sound like they are a good fit for you, not everyone finds happiness in the same place or work environment.

T: We hear you’re currently hiring at Arlington Farm. What are you looking for and how can people apply?

K: Arlington Farm is hiring an Assistant Residential Manager!  We are looking for a strong team member who is a good at multi-tasking, who has an eye for detail, and wants to work hard to achieve a common goal.
