Description Back by popular demand – STREET FOOD RODEO #2, this time with more food vendors! A roundup of the best street food vendors from our region will gather at the corner of 6th & G St. for a rodeo unlike any you’ve experienced. Davisites crave innovative, fresh & affordable street food, and their call is being answered. Here’s a sample of what’s cooking: Pealla, wood oven pizza, our fave taco truck with handmade tortillas, and South Indian dosas, to name just a few. For dessert, try gourmet funnel cakes, churros (gluten-free available), or real fruit popsicles. Wash it down with a glass of kombucha on tap or a mango lassi. Live music by Tha Dirt Feelin’ plus street performers to entertain you in line. Straw bale seating, and valet bike parking too. As if that’s not enough, the Sacramento Contra Dance Society will lead us all in a little do-si-do on the street (music by The Faulkner Family; Talib Huff calls). Two 45-minute dances: 6:30p & 8:15p. Yessiree!! This event is a fundraiser, with a proceeds donated to the Davis School Garden Program – helping kids stay in touch with where real food comes from.
